Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Grimo AI ("we," "us," "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. Grimo AI is a personal productivity assistant that helps you manage tasks, calendar events, and notes through a chat and voice interface. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at cadenceappsupport@gmail.com.
Information We Collect
Account information
When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (or a private relay address, if you use Apple's "Hide My Email") to create and identify your account. We do not collect a password — authentication is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Content you create
Tasks, calendar events, notes, and chat messages you create in the App are stored so the App can function and so your data is available across your sessions. This is the core content the App exists to manage.
Voice and microphone
If you use voice mode or dictation, the App accesses your microphone to record audio. Audio is converted to text using your device's built-in speech recognition and is not stored as an audio file after the conversion completes.
Photos (optional)
If the App requests photo library access, this is only used if you choose to attach an image to a message or note — we do not access your photo library otherwise.
Chat context sent to AI providers
To generate responses, your recent conversation history and relevant task/event/note content is sent to Google's Gemini API. If you use voice mode, the assistant's text responses are sent to OpenAI to generate spoken audio. Neither provider is authorized by us to use this content to train their models on our behalf beyond what's necessary to provide the response. You can clear your chat history at any time in Settings, which reduces how much context is sent on future requests.
Subscription and payment information
If you purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by the Apple App Store and processed by RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. We never see or store your payment card details. RevenueCat provides us with your subscription status (active, expired, etc.) so the App can unlock the correct features.
Technical information
Our backend infrastructure (Supabase) automatically logs standard technical information needed to operate the service, such as IP address and request timestamps, as part of normal server operation. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and personalize the App's core features
- Authenticate your account and keep your data synced across sessions
- Generate AI responses and voice replies to your requests
- Process subscription purchases and manage your access to paid features
- Diagnose and fix technical problems
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content to serve you advertising.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policy and may store information outside your country of residence, including in the United States.
Data Retention
We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. Chat history can be cleared by you at any time in Settings, which permanently deletes those messages. When you delete your account (available in Settings), your data is permanently removed from our systems, except where we are required to retain limited records by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (you can also do this yourself in-app)
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at cadenceappsupport@gmail.com.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This action is irreversible.
Children's Privacy
Grimo AI is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Data Transfers
Because we use service providers based in the United States (Google, OpenAI, RevenueCat), your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure these providers offer an adequate level of protection for your data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means before the change takes effect.
